Review of Fright Night (1985) by John K — 24 Oct 2009
I saw this at school, and rewatched it recently. Most of the film is quite understated (they save most of the special effects for the end), which works well. Unlike "Buffy" or "Van Helsing", the characters here are terrified of the vampire, but they still go after him anyway.
Ed's final scene worked very well, showing that killing the vampire was necessary but not something to take any pleasure in.
