Review of French Kiss (1995) by Deb S — 11 Aug 2010

It's not just another chick flick! Well ok, maybe it is, but its one of the best I have ever seen. Fans of this kind of movie will usually say that 'Sleepless' was Meg's best romcom, maybe even 'Harry and Sally'.

But while both (particularly the latter) were very much worthy of merit, if we're talking desert island chick flick, mine would be this. OK, Kline's French accent is...dubious, but the overall sweetness of the movie, without being schmaltzy, overcomes small faults like that.

And of course, the fact that it is mostly set in France doesn't hurt. The scenery in the countryside is breathtaking. Overall a real treat!
