Review of Freedom Writers (2007) by Robert V — 03 Nov 2009
This movie was very inspiring, and being based on a true story makes it even more of a good film. The characters were very well developed, and it was very easy to connect with them and share the feelings of the story.
Hilary Swank does a great job acting as the teacher trying to reach out to the troubled teens at the inner city high school she teaches at. Fighting an uphill battle with the school board, her father, and her husband, she desperately struggles to teach the kids to coexist without wanting to kill each other.
Overall, I would highly recommend this movie.
