Sure, we've been down this road before - the based-on-a-true story of an inspiring teacher in an inner-city high school who overcomes insurmountable adversity and embiggens the heart of every troubled youth - but Swank pulls it together and the tears get jerked.
If nothing else, it trumps Dangerous Minds by a dangerous 30 IQ points.
