Review of Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare (1991) by Jack V — 12 Aug 2010
Okay here's the film that deserves the heat it gets. It throws away everything the Freddy franchise is all about and just makes Freddy a comedy act. Englund is great as always in the role and the plot is good, its the way its executed that ruins the film, not too mention the 3-D was a terrible idea.
The deaths are shitty and can only be appreciated by kids(which I was one when I first saw this and laughed). The soundtrack isn't the best and the FX are not as good either. The acting is okay, but can be worked on better. Look out for cameos by:
Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp, Roseanne Arnold, Tom Arnold, Bob Shaye.
2 out of 5 stars and I'm glad this wasn't the last.
SOUNDTRACK SONGS I HAVE:
Goo Goo Dolls-I'm Awake Now {Video on Unreleased Set only}.
Chubb Rock-Treat Em Right{Video not available anywhere}.
Sea Hags-Under the Stars.
The Junk Monkeys-Everything Remains the Same.
Johnny Law-Hold Me Down.
Johnny Law-Remember the Night.
Goo Goo Dolls-Two Days In February.
Goo Goo Dolls-You Know What I Mean.
Fates Warning-Nothing Left to Say.
