Review of Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare (1991) by Angelica N — 08 Aug 2011
Freddy's Dead, the 6th installment of the nightmare franchise, brings nothing new to the table but a little bit more background story to Krueger. This detracts from his demonic character and makes him a less intimidating figure.
Throughout the movies, he has evolved from a supreme, immortal, powerful being, to a man with scars and a few blades. What should be a scary character, has become a joke that is not even funny. As a result, the movies have slowly become less ingenious, and more tiresome and tepid.
