Review of Fratricide (2005) by Damien B — 27 May 2008
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. The story and characters are seared into my brain forever. And it's a universal story, shared by millions of refugees and immigrants, legal or not. No frills, no cold blue filter or polarized effect usually employed for such a subject, nor any of the heavy dreariness indie films usually pander to for such a subject either, no sentimentalism, no end message with figures attached, but spirit and dignity in the tragedy of human kind.
ABSOLUTELY MUST SEE (I recommend on a sunday night, or on a Tuesday to set you off right for the week).
