Review of Donnie Darko (2001) by Damien B — 08 Nov 2014

Strange but equally creative...i've watched this countless times and turned many others onto this uniquely underground film! it's a real cult classic and a sleeper hit. For a film that has an entirely 8o's music soundtrack, I found the moderness of the actual film to be hard to believe,but Maggie and especially Jake Gylenhall are really good, fresh, raw characters we've never really seen before in this genre of film! this film really stands on it's own!
