Review of The Intouchables (2011) by Damien B — 11 Jun 2013
The Intouchables (2012): Tremendous, an excellent film and story of the unlikely friendship between two completely opposite lives and characters, who in another life would never have met, much less become friends! Definitely recommended viewing, this story will delight all viewers who enjoy comedic moments in a drama style film, that deals with serious topics in an emotive and organic way that leaves the viewer with something of value at the end! The essence of the film is all about 'building character' and having what it takes to get through the difficult situations life throws at us, and that no matter what curve-balls come at us, a sense of humour is often what gets us through in the end! If you loved this film, I would also highly recommend "THE SOLOIST" from Director Joe Wright, another film in the same sort of vein as "THE INTOUCHABLES", different scenario, different characters, similar idea and message.
This is easily one of the best French films I have seen in recent memory, an undeniably enjoyable and emotively captivating viewing experience not to be easily forgotten by anyone who seen it! [SCORE: 10/10].
