Review of Foxy Brown (1974) by Jason R — 03 Oct 2009
Pam Grier looks stunning during the whole movie and does a decent acting job, but the rest of the cast, especially the villains, were often abismal. I realise that the first goal of a blaxploitation-flick is to amuse and offer some bad-ass action, and it delivers on both fronts, but the acting could have been better.
I especially loved the many politically incorrect jokes and great one-liners in the movie, and the person who came up with the idea to hide a gun in Pam Grier's afro deserves a statue. Some scenes, such as the one in the shed with the two farmers were a bit edgy, even in this day and age.
