Review of Foxy Brown (1974) by Gary M — 03 May 2011
Fun, sleazy, shocking, and thoroughly watchable. Foxy Brown is laced with gaping plot holes, appalling continuity, and moments of utterly ridiculous acting. However, the enjoyable vigilante justice plot, pulp-style action and vicious portrayal of sexism, give the movie striking entertainment value strong enough to redeem it of it's flaws.
With startling content, and a lead performance that put Pam Grier on the map, this 70's Blaxploitation flick is highly entertaining, and definitely worth watching.
