Review of Forrest Gump (1994) by Dann M — 05 Aug 2014
A great, great character (and actor), in a pretty good movie. I enjoyed the theme of Destiny vs. Chance, and how man navigates his life bouncing around what seems to be both. Tom Hanks was well deserving of the best actor Oscar, even if I did not think Forrest Gump to have been the best movie of that year with other great movies like Pulp Fiction and Shawshank Redemption.
Nevertheless Forrest Gump is still a gem of a movie, and it sits proudly in my collection.
