Review of Forrest Gump (1994) by Voodoo123 — 19 Jun 2018
This film has excellent pacing which which, when combined with its cutting edge visual effects, make it feel like a film years ahead of its time. The story follows a fictional character who in spite his learning difficulties makes significant impressions throughout a zemekis-i-fied version of some 40 years of american history (much like the 'new sound' scene from 1955 back to the future prom night x 100).
The casting is excellent with standout performances from hanks, sinese, wright, williamson and the many excellent supporting roles. The soundtrack is exceptional.
