Review of Forrest Gump (1994) by Ben C — 14 Jul 2013
What I would consider a perfect movie. I loved it. It has this realistic and magical mood that I don't quite have anything to compare it to, like, it shows this amazing life this person had and how much he learned from it, and how much he inspired people while doing simple things without even knowing it, but it doesn't break the boundaries of reality.
The story ventures into many areas while revisiting events of the past, making it quite familiar, but also dropping you in to possibly get a feel for things that have happened or what it was like during the time.
At the end, everything is tied up and understood, we've learned something, saw some action, some terror and some drama. The movie has so much to offer and is extremely satisfying.
