Great film. But this is a great film about something none of the critics can see very well at this point in time: Force Majeure is a film about double standards between men and women, double standards that favour women.

It's about how we allow women to behave in ways we do not allow men without viewing men as cowardly, untrustworthy, and irresponsible. Nearly every thing a man gets emotionally crucified for in this film is something a female character does without anyone noticing.

Even many critics haven't noticed that the mother in this story also abandons her family in a crisis.
