Review of For a Few Dollars More (1965) by Joshua W — 02 Jun 2010
Is it as good as a Fistful of Dollars? No, but it's still a good film. Following from the previous Western from Sergio Leone, the character of the Man with No Name is carried over, and he's still just as fascinating and deep as he was originally, as well as being portrayed fantastically by Clint Eastwood.
The rest of the cast is superb, and the cinematography is amazing. My problems with the film involved the other Bounty Hunter that Eastwood teams up with. It began to become less about the Man with No Name and more about him, which is not what I wanted to see.
Despite the shootout scenes being amazing, the film was longer and slower than Fistful of Dollars. A good western.
