Absolutely fantastic and my favourite of the trilogy. There is a great setup with so many nice touches including an endlessly inventive and a requisite score. The hats, the chair, the gambling, the spying on each other. It is all magic. To be spying on someone and then realise you are being spied on is a true battle of wits.
The introduction of the safe and concept is inspired Lee van Cleefâ(TM)s set of weapons is something that belongs in a modern action film. Then there is the villain that is unabashedly smoking drugs. Of all the films in the trilogy this manages to balance the forces of both vengeance and greed the best.
Klaus Kinski even makes a great cameo.
