Review of For a Few Dollars More (1965) by Rodrigo L — 04 Aug 2012
The second, and equally enjoyable entry in the Dollars trilogy sees the return of the legendary Man With No Name. This time around, however, the characters and their motives are much more complex. This adds another dimension to the story, in that it's not just a mere display of gun-play and violence.
There is more of a method to all the madness. Stunning shots of barren landscapes, tight close-ups, tense stand-offs, and the revolutionary musical talents of Ennio Morricone are all just as important to the cinematic experience as the first film, and its clear that everyone involved was a lot more comfortable and confident this time around.
