Review of FleshEater: Revenge of the Living Dead (1988) by Michael W — 02 Oct 2007
Bill Hinzman, the original graveyard zombie from the classic Night of the Living Dead, tries to "reprise" his role as a flesh eating living dead man in Flesh Eater. This film is pretty fun as a whole.
You can definitely see the similarities with this and Night of the Living Dead in terms of setting and of course the sad ending for our two love birds. The acting is terrible with some performances well worse than others, but that doesn't matter.
There is no plot giving the film no real suspense but that's a-okay in my book. It's tough to decide who the main characters really are. I'd have to say it's whoever is a zombie at that current point in the film.
The gore saves this film in the end. Worth a watch for zombie fans if you just can't get enough of the genre.
