This movie is basically Night of The Living Dead made in the eighties. The acting is horrible, not one cast member does a good job, the plot is predictable but that's what makes an eighties movie.

Bill Hinzmann (Cemetery Zombie from NOTLD) produces, directs, and acts in this fun zombie movie. He plays the Flesh Eater who starts the whole zombie plague when some ignorant redneck digs up his grave. He then procedes to kill rednecks and many a teenager in viscious ways.

To tell the truth this film had some amazing gore effects. A girl's heart is ripped out, Hinzmann pushes his hand through the torso of an unsuspecting victim, along with many amazing headshot sequences. This is one of the goriest zombie movies I've seen next to Dawn of the Dead and Fulci's "Zombi" flicks. The blod starts flowing across the screen ten minutes into the movie and it is quite entertaining to see these characters get killed off in a variety of ways.

I still think the plot was alot more effective in Night of The Living Dead but Hinzmann did an exceptional job directing this. Fans of low budget horror will love this and hardcore fans of Romero's masterpiece will hate it but thinking of this as a remake of NOTLD might help.

All in all, I recommend this to any gore fan, zombie fan, and cheap eighties movie fan because it's a great installment in low budget filmaking.
