Review of FleshEater: Revenge of the Living Dead (1988) by Mike I — 08 Jul 2008
What a honking piece of shit. I love shitty movies, so I was actually enjoying this while laughing at the utter "What the fuck?!?"-ness of this.
The script was apparently made up as shooting went along since about 3/4ths of the way through the film we suddenly jump locales and all but two of the original characters are dead. New characters are introduced, mainly through pointless full frontal nude scenes that fucking DEFINE gratuitous and then are summarily killed off.
The acting was pure comedic gold as everyone seemed to be reciting something the learned mere moments before the camera started rolling. Toss in some repetitive synth "mood" music and you're all set.
It's always cute to see 80s fashion, though. So I've gotta give some props to the fucking insane amount of denim the movie has.
If you love shit movies, you'll probably let loose with a wild orgasm by the half-way point. If you hate shit movies, you can watch this to further solidify your distaste for movies made on a budget that wouldn't hit the limit of most people's first credit cards.
Last - a wicked high five to Hinzman who saves all the "naked girl" kills for his own zombie character! Way to abuse those writer/director/producer/editor powers, old man!
