Review of Flags of Our Fathers (2006) by Barry C — 11 Apr 2010
A compelling watch from a Director who clearly know how to tell a story. This film richly portrays the soulessness of war and the effects its has on not only the soldiers but by society. The casting was terrific with great performances from Adam Beach and Ryan Phillippe being my favourite, the look of the film also played its part.
However its Eastwood's ability to let the story have room to live that really impressed me. Recommended.
