Review of Flags of Our Fathers (2006) by Barry W — 21 Jul 2009
Very good documentary-style film. A great look at propaganda's use in times of war, with solid performances from the three leads. The battle scenes, while not many, are extremely well done. Not flawless though, it's a little confusing throughout, in terms of who's telling the story, and the final 15 minutes of voice-over feels like it comes out of left field.
Overall, an entertaining, intelligent war movie.
