Review of Five Easy Pieces (1970) by Alec B — 03 Nov 2007
A film that seems simplistic on the surface that really is far more complex than many realize. There is such a good definition of character by everyone in this film. Jack Nicholson is fantastic, and keeps his performance subtle, and ultimately completely real.
Equally good is Karen Black who simply breaks your heart. Not so much a story as it is an intimate character study.
