Review of Five Easy Pieces (1970) by Andrew R — 03 Jun 2014
First rate character study with some of the time's special treatment of women, but Bobby's self-treatment is what shines here. He hates himself, but he doesn't know exactly why, nor do we ever find out.
This movie moves in movements rather than acts, more like the subtle emotions of music that you have to pluck out. It's more Chopin than Beethoven.
