Review of Five Easy Pieces (1970) by Cory B — 30 Dec 2009
At first I thought I was going to shitty soapbox movie. Then, I thought it was going to be a shitty road movie. Then, towards the third act, I realized the film had something to say, and that it was right.
Nicholson was superb (when is he not?), but I can't say the same for Karen Black (she was annoying, but I guess that was the point). I loved what was going in this movie. Took a while to get where it was going, but I stand by its messages.
