Review of Fitzcarraldo (1982) by Eden C — 17 Sep 2007
Herzog's remarkable film, 4 years in the making, still manages to inspire awe, with it's story of a rubber baron who plans to bring Opera music to the jungles of south america by hauling a steamliner over a mountain.
With amazing cinematography, hypnotic score and in Klaus Kinski, the finest example of director/actor collaboration. watch it today,in the age of CGI and revel in the fact that, yes, they did haul that ship over the mountain.
..FOR REAL!It's timeless,it's inspirational and it's a classic.
