Review of First Man (2018) by Galactic Q — 20 Oct 2018
There's inevitable Oscar bait vibes all around it but it never feels like it's forcing that. Chazelle gives it the grace and meticulous storytelling focus it needs in order to actually make you feel what it's like to be in Neil's position instead of indulging in the dramatic nature of it.
The small family moments between Neil and his wife are beautifully shot and really tie the entire thing together.
