I thought this was a totally depressing movie. Ryan Gosslings character seemed completely depressed the entire movie. Started off pretty slow and what made matters worse is the movie spends half its time with really black tones.
There were times things were so black I could not make out what I was seeing. It was reminiscent of the new Star Trek movie with all the lens flares. So between the characters total depression, half the movie showing black scenes with just bits of visuals I was extremely disappointed and was glad when it was over.
