Review of Fire in Babylon (2011) by Hariharan I — 19 Jun 2011
This could have been cricket's 'Hoop Dreams'. Unfortunately, much like the West Indies team of today, the movie often loses its track. The makers couldn't seem to decide whether this was to be a movie against racism (like when the boys were riled by Greig's 'grovel' comment), or just the greatest, most-loved (by spectators) and most-feared (by the opposition) cricket team of all time.
But who am I kidding. It's got the Windies ! And fast bowling ! And Bob Marley and Bunny Wailer ! How could I rate it anything less than five stars?
