Review of Find Me Guilty (2006) by Nick E — 14 Mar 2008
I finally got round to hiring this recently. this wasn't a major cinema release here in Australia and I was disappointed to have missed it. nothing that a quick trip to the video store can't fix.
Where do I begin? This could be considered one of Diesel's great acting roles. If you can look past the usage of profanity you'll love this movie. Diesel play Jackie Dinorsio, one of the leaers of the mafia who belives in the philosophy that you don't dob in, or for that matter, abandon family.
Jackie shocks the court when he says that he's going to represent himself in court for the trial that could put him away for life. What follows is a long court case that goes for 628 days, and most of the major days being consumed with Jackie's often amusing and comedic statements to the witnesses in question.
This film is enjoyable and the way in which it is filmed helps to capture the emotions of the characters mentioned, as well as symbolising their position and vulnerability within the court case at hand. if you've enjoyed Diesel's previous action films like "XXX", "Fast and the Furious" and the "Riddick" series, you'll enjoy this.
