Vin Diesel gives the performance of his life and this is a reply to all those who question his abilities as an actor. Sidney Lumet must be given some serious appreciation for finding an acting potential in the actor who was always sidelined as an action film junk. How is this film overlong? It's just 2 hrs long and it has a terrific pace. The film is comic and satire at times and thanks to Diesel, it's equally emotional and poignant. A court room comedy could have easily become a flaw, but Lumet effectively directs this to triumph.
