Review of Fermat's Room (2007) by Ronan S — 15 Jul 2009
This is novel. A locked room mystery, where if you don't solve the mystery the walls will crush you. Pity it was four mathematicians and not four bankers. How can you time five minutes if you only have one hourglass of seven minutes duration and one of four minutes duration ? Think quickly, because those walls are closing in.
It is all about as likely as the last Transformers film, but if you like puzzles, you'll like this. Nicely shot and well played, although the only realistic thing about it was that one of the mathematicians was wearing corduroy trousers.
