Review of Femme Fatale (2002) by Devin R — 30 Aug 2009
Brian De Palma's FEMME FATALE is pretty much exactly what you'd expect it to be--deceptive, sultry, and for the most part, quite entertaining. It's starts off with a not-so-simple jewel heist, and spirals into a dreamy-like game of cat-and-mouse.
From a purely visual stand point, FEMME FATALE is one of De Palma's most sinsational, and Rebecca Romijn has plenty of on-screen sizzle. Although the plotting can be a bit muddled, this is one sly thriller that entertains simply, but effectively.
