Review of Fear X (2003) by Eric R — 23 Jun 2010
Fear X is an interesting piece that is directed far better than its written. Its a mystery thriller of sorts in the Lynchian vein but it never really goes far enough. The story is story is decent but I really just think the ending is sorta tacky and a let down.
This is definitely a lesser work of Refns but it still has some great atmospheric moments. Turturro does do a great job as Harry, the mall cop, whom after having triippy visions, sets out to find his wife's murderer.
