Review of Fear X (2003) by Az D — 29 Jun 2008
A movie that could have been half way decent but the director decided to go all "artsy fartsy".
With it. Hoorray for you Mr. Director!! Only certain gifted directors can pull this off successfully. It had a good but achingly slow start which eventually turned into complete and utter boredom. The movie leaves you frustrated and full of questions which I am guessing was the director's goal. Movies like these should be for film students to analyze and dissect but should not be put out for the general audience. I don't need a film to leave me stranded with "what if's?" to make me feel intelligent and analytical. I watch and enjoy movies for their entertainment value, not to give me a "WTF?" feeling like this film did! Two friggin' stars and that's because I like John Turturro and James Remar. Belive me, I'm being generous with the rating! Those are 2 hours of my life I'll never get back!
