Review of Father Goose (1964) by Paul G — 04 Apr 2008
Cary Grant at the top of his game. His penultimate movie is also, in my opinion, his best. Playing against type as a grumpy, selfish, hard drinking hermit he ends up stuck on a desert island in the middle of a war zone with the gorgeous Leslie Caron as an uptight governess with 7 schoolgirls.
Fabulous comedy, superbly written and played. Genius.
