Review of Fast Five (2011) by Phillip G — 04 Feb 2013
I was not a fan of the other movies of the franchise, but I'm a fan of Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson, and just had to see them in a movie together. And boy am I glad I did. This movie is the most entertaining movie I have ever seen.
The action is spectacular and the humor is always there. What's more, the film holds up to repeat viewings. They did a great job of making it a heist movie, which made it more interesting and entertaining.
The fight scene between Vin Diesel and The Rock and the chase through Rio are particularly impressive. This a film where you get exactly what you come for, and a little extra. I know the other four weren't very good, but give this one a chance.
If you're looking for a good time, you won't be disappointed.
