With Fast Five, the Furious film franchise reforms itself. It's not far superior to any of the others, but it's no longer just a movie about cars and racing, it's a heist movie. . . with cars and racing.
Plus, it seems to be a little more self-aware of how ridiculous it is, which I can appreciate. Although I still don't see how these movies have made so much money.
