Review of Farewell My Concubine (1993) by Johnny K — 11 Sep 2007
Gong Li and Leslie Cheung display some amazing acting skills in this movie. While this might not be for everyone, due to it's length, I still consider it a must see. It's a very dramatic and psychological movie about the relationship between three characters.
The movie also throws them in the middle of political issues that were happening in China at the time, and you witness the fall and betrayal of the characters which is moving since you connect with them throughout the film.
One of the best films I've seen from Hong Kong, if not the best.
