Review of Far from the Madding Crowd (2015) by Lenard W — 20 Jun 2015
I have never read the book, but I've seen the Angry Young Man version so... Carey Mulligan over Julie Christie. Peter Finch-Michael Sheen a draw (it's not a great role). Alan Bates barely over Matthias Schoenaerts (Matthias is more physical appropriate, but Alan Bates was much more emotionally competent).
But the real star Terence Stamp soundly over Tom Sturridge.
