I enjoyed the soundtrack and cinematography in this film, but was disappointed by so much else - the script, the scene transitions, the singing (good grief too much filler), the character builds (or lack thereof), the chemistry (or lack thereof).
Everything struck me as superficially pretty, but grossly lacking in substance or connectivity. Surprisingly, the only character/actor who did not irritate me was Matthias Schoenaerts as Gabriel. I kept yelling at the screen - "Oh, for heaven's sake.
Pick him already.".
