Review of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018) by Gaston M — 18 Nov 2018
Uninvolving beasts and a vacuum of interest stops this film dead in its tracks. No center leaves this film dazzling but empty. Hard to figure out exactly what is the problem, but none of the characters sizzle and there's no real tension to any scene, it's all so carefully choreographed as to be inocuous.
Can't hit a home run every time, but this film feels like a bridge to get to the next one and can't quite stand on its own two legs..
