Review of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018) by Jason P — 19 Nov 2018
It had some entertaining moments, but right off the bat I had trouble caring about the story because I was distracted by one simple fact the movie neglects from the first film: Credence died! He's alive and well in this film like the last film never happened.
He plays a critical role in this sequel, and I couldn't help but think the whole time... None of this should even be happening. Continuity problems and heavy exposition on useless side plots drag this movie down.
I read that there are even bigger contradictions to the entire HP lore, so I guess this movie is even worse for the hardcore fan.
