Review of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018) by Laura D — 16 Nov 2018
I am guessing those that did not like it, ya I am looking at you 'critics', are failing to remember how JK Rowling sets up her books/movies. Each one gets better and better as you become more immersed in her world.
We are familiar with the small area of the Wizarding World from Harry Potter but have not seen much of the rest of the planet. The first two movies from Harry Potter were no where near as good as the last few.
Why? JK Rowling was setting up the characters so that when the heat was really turned up we were in it with them. I enjoyed The Crimes of Grindelwald as it shows us the strength, and yes the weaknesses, of characters we thought we had already known.
It was not as good as the first one tho I think part of the lure of the first was because we missed the Wizarding World so much. This movie had twists and turns. Without giving away the plot it is hard to explain why this movie is a must see for any Harry Potter fan.
I know I will be going to see it again and can not wait until the next installment.
