I grew up with Fantasia 2000, and I was in love with that one, so I avoided this one because everyone else told me this one was ten times better. I have finally sat down and watched it, and... I have to say, it has a more sophisticated air to it to say the least.
The music is fantastic, as it should be with something like this! I don't know though, I guess I'm just too used to the other one, because there is a definite difference between these two films.
Not saying this one isn't good. No, in its own right it's wonderful. I just can't help but be nostalgically connected to 2000. I'm pretty sure if it was the other way around, then I would be saying the same thing about this film as opposed to the 2000 sequel.
But for what it is, I liked it, would probably watch it again, if given the chance, and am definitely going to hunt down the songs.
