It is a tricky film to rate. I really want to give it a full 5star rating. Acting, music, filming, casting, writing and direceting is superb. Its main problem is that its too short (you would think that 200 minutes would be enough, wouldn't you), but Bergman wants to stuff too much into it.
Watching the 310 minutes version might very well give it a higher rate though - I'll be back...
