Review of Fanny and Alexander (1982) by Matt B — 29 Nov 2007
I haven't seen a whole lot of Bergman, just this and Seventh Seal, but this movie is just incredible. It is beautifully crafted, it weaves the different stories of the family members seamlessly, and it has a sense of innocence while still conveying the madness and devilish world view that Bergman has.
Definitely one of the best films ever by one of cinema's absolute geniouses.
