Review of Fallen (1998) by Max M — 02 Aug 2010

Fallen tells the story of homicide detctive named john hobbes played by a great performance by denzel washington (the bone collector trainning day remember the titans and out of time) has just seen the excution of a criminal named edgar reese played by elias koteas (apt pupil teenage mutant turtles 1 2 & 3 and look whos talking 1 & 2) but after the excution there was a murder of a person which no one knows who could have it been but then while other people find it out another person was murdered no one knows once again people think that it was some other criminal killer on the loose again but when john hobbes finds out that its the ghost of edgar reese going inside to other people's bodies which even though they think its a different person but reese trys to kill hobbes but doesnt but then the last 20 minutes more people are murdered including john hobbess' divorced brother was murdered and the only thing left his john's nephew then after the murder of his brother hobbes is blamed also for a killing of a civllian that tried killing him on the street and then his nephew and gretta milano the daughter of a man who died from suicde that was apart of the police then after that hobbes goes to a cabin and which jonesy and Lt. stanton go visit him to turn him but then jonesy played by john goodman shoots and kills Lt stanton played by donald sutherland then tries killing hobbes then hobbes kills jonesy then hobbes runs away down in the snowy woods and dies then the film is over the ending itself is very chilling this is a scary film.

Highly recommeneded for any fan of the film se7en or any horror fan a great horror suspense thriller hidden gem when fallen had first opened back in january 16th-january 18th 1998 weekend the film debuted #3 while beating hard rain and half baked which hard rain debuted at #5 and half baked debuted #6 becuase of the most sucessful highest grossing film of 1997 titanic which got #1 that week.
