Review of Fair Game (2010) by Greg P — 11 Dec 2011
Fair Game tells the story of outed CIA agent Valerie Plame and her husband Joseph Wilson and all that they went through when her cover was blown. Naomi Watts and Sean Penn did a very nice job as Plame and Wilson.
Penn had some especially nice moments as he was putting people "in their place" for taking an overly simplistic view of what was going on in the world and speaking out about things without any real knowledge on the subject.
There was a decent supporting cast here headlined by the always great Bruce McGill. I thought the story here was pretty solid and moved along rather fluidly. The thing that has to be remembered here is that this is one version of what happened coming from Plame and Wilson's perspective.
It showcases some very large abuses of power by a government with both what happened to these individuals and the war itself. Check it out if you enjoy movies like this.
